Alongside its standard downloadable poker client, UB also offers an instant play version of their software. Using the instant play version, players are able to play online poker through their web browsers. Instead of logging in through the normal poker client, players login through a web interface where they input their Ultimate Bet account details.

With the instant play poker client, no initial download is required. You simply login to the browser client and can play immediately. UB’s instant play poker software can be played in Opera, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, Lynx and most other popular internet browsers.

UB Instant Play Limitations

There are a few limitations to the instant play software. The maximum number of tables that can be played at one time is 5 as opposed to twenty on the UB downloadable platform. Hot key options are unsupported and table tilting and cascading is yet to be added. The favourite seat feature found in the downloadable software is not present in the UB browser version and multi player blackjack is not available.

The rest of the functionality is the same as the regular software and players may deposit and withdraw from their accounts using the cashier function.

Mac and Linux Users

While Mac users and Windows users can choose between the downloadable poker client and the instant play version, Linux users do not have the same choice.

At this moment in time Ultimate Bet players who use the Linux operating system may only play on Ultimate Bet by using the browser based poker client. UB have said that they plan on releasing a Linux download in the not so distant future.
